The city is loud, but I’m quiet inside,
Deep in my chest, blooming spring doesn’t hide.
Sails in the clouds, and a dream in my view,
Butterflies in my mind — beauty so true.Rain on the asphalt is painting a line,
Wind loudly screams: “Look at endless skyline!”.
Puddles are oceans, sunsets are on fire,
The world is so grand when you look even higher. There are butterflies in my mind,
Wings like a dawn that in cold water shined.
Dreams will not die, they won’t burn into ash,
While the flight of these butterflies stays in my flesh.Stardust is holding right onto my palms,
Whispering night brings its beautiful calms:
“You’re not alone, you’re a part of this gleam,
Where every joy is a flight in a dream.”A warm ray of sun on a cold window pane,
Children are laughing out there in the rain.
A hot cup of tea and an old vinyl spin,
This is the world and the moment we’re in.There are butterflies in my mind,
Wings like a dawn that in cold water shined.
Dreams will not die, they won’t burn into ash,
While the flight of these butterflies stays in my flesh.Let the world be so harsh, let the trains loudly roll,
Spring lives inside me, no winter, no toll.
Catching the moment, I breathe and rejoice,
Eternity speaks in this single heartbeat’s voice.Spreading invisible wings in the air,
Through city noise to the lands far and fair.
No need for castles, no awards to pursue,
I breathe and I live, and my spirit is new. There are butterflies in my mind,
Wings like a dawn that in cold water shined.
Dreams will not die, they won’t burn into ash,
While the flight of these butterflies stays in my flesh. No need for distant stars, wonders unknown…
Beauty is found in each dust particle shown…
Butterflies guide me, they show me the way…
To the world where the dream is alive every day…
